Scientific research and applied studies in many STEM disciplines often require analytical testing or chemical analysis of some type. The resulting test measurement data must be valid to enable proper interpretation so that meaningful and confident decisions can be made and defended. Metrological concepts such as calibration and statistical quality control underpin the scientific validity and defensibility of the analytical testing process.

The Academy Prep curriculum program is divided into building blocks of modular design. Each module is offered in a "short-course" workshop format similar to professional continuing education courses or extended studies so that understanding and comprehension of course content is optimized for each student.
