Jerry's rewarding career in analytical chemistry and metrology dates back nearly 40 years when he worked for the National Bureau of Standards (NBS), now known as the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).
NIST is the National Metrology Institute (NMI) for the United States.
Jerry rejuvenated a NIST high-accuracy analytical spectrophotometric SRM & recertification program.

Stranaska Metrology Laboratory is the core organizational UV/VIS calibration program of Stranaska Scientific LLC. The company was founded more than 30 years ago by Jerry after his NIST tenure.
Jerry has presented tutorials, short courses and workshops on analytical UV/VIS calibration science and forensic metrology.
Stranaska Academy Prep is Jerry's visionary means to instill analytical metrology into the training of our future STEM workforce.
