PROGRAM STRUCTURE AND PRICING

The Academy Prep program is divided into focus tracks of modular design. Curriculum content, instruction, and hands-on exercises for all module sessions are offered in a "short-course" workshop format similar to professional continuing education courses.

A curriculum module for local students has built-in schedule flexibility and is available in the following formats within a 4-week period depending on student choice:

  • Three (3) sessions - each session being two (2) hours in length.
  • Six (6) sessions - each session being one (1) hour in length.
  • Combination of the two formats above for a total of six (6) contact hours.

The curriculum has an add-on module structure, up to ten (10) cumulative modules at this time, for a total of 60 contact hours, if the student wants to continue on with more course content within a given focus track.

A specific curriculum program, based on the results of the initial student orientation and assessment, is recommended so families can make an informed decision for their student. Our introductory pricing is given here:

  • $450.00 USD for each curriculum module, for a total of six (6) student contact hours per module.
  • Additional sessions within the same 4-week period are priced at $200 per session (2 hours) or $100 per session (1 hour).

The ambitious student can receive bonus benefits.

  • Stranaska Academy Prep issues a Certificate of Achievement for each curriculum module completed by the student. This Certificate may serve as the tie-breaker for placement in an undergraduate honors capstone project or research program because Academy Prep students learn the language of analytical instrumentation and can showcase their newly-acquired knowledge.

  • The Academy Prep Executive Director is positioned to write a supportive conditional letter of recommendation for admission to the professor's research group, which may enhance undergraduate research interaction through collaboration and mentoring by doctoral students and post-doctoral scientists or engineers.

NOTE: For students that are not local and would come from a distance, please contact the Academy Prep Executive Director using the contact form below. We will try and accommodate your logistics and schedule preference at the Stranaska Academy Prep site.
